How do I print and put up the posters?
Anyone interested in doing so is warmly invited to print and put up the posters designed for persecuted relatives. So why not support the active commemorative work by taking part in a printing workshop at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site?
Reproducing and distributing posters
During the National Socialist regime, members of the resistance printed and posted anti-fascist content. The Space to Remember, Connect and Support has elected to use the very same techniques. The poster motifs with references to relatives can be printed in letterpress at the printing workshop of the Space to Remember, Connect and Support. The posters will then be showcased on site, on the poster wall. You also have the option of taking them with you and distributing them beyond Hamburg. The poster wall is located outside, on the outdoor premises of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Over time the posters will weather, which means the poster wall must be constantly renewed and maintained. This symbolises the fact that remembrance is an active ongoing process of addressing the crimes perpetrated under National Socialism. Help to keep the memory of former concentration camp prisoners alive!
Workshops and dates
Printing workshops are held several times a year. For details of dates open to the public, please refer to the events calendar of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site.
