Who we are?
Our group consists of relatives of former prisoners of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp, honorary supporters, and art and design students.
Participants
The Space to Remember, Connect and Support was launched at the initiative of relatives of former prisoners of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp.
Members of the Friends of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial Site and the Neuengamme Working Group actively support the project. The Amicale Internationale KZ Neuengamme, the umbrella organisation of the national associations of prisoners, supports our voluntary work.
Ten art and design students under Prof. Jesko Fezer have teamed up with us to formulate the concept and design of the project, offering their conceptual and creative support for the Space to Remember, Connect and Support. The Experimental Design Studio at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK) elaborates social design projects and, as a collective, runs the public design consultancy ‘Öffentliche Gestaltungsberatung St. Pauli’.
The blog featuring Reflections on Family History Affected by Nazi Crimes provides information on how our project came about and its current developments.
